Tell us about your career…
From 2004 to 2009, I went to the local conservatoire of Poitiers where I studied drama while dancing as a contemporary dancer. I danced in Daniel Dobbles’s and then Jackie Taffanel’s group of choreographic exploration. I also studied improvisation at university of Poitiers. Between 2006 and 2009, I produced five-hour shows broaching the world of famous authors (Ibsen, Noren, Beckett…), short shows performed in apartments and a cabaret with Bougeois de Kiev, the company I created with Thomas le Gloannec. In 2009, I entered the EPSAD art school whose director is Stuart Seide. In 2012, I played in the end of the year show, La bonne âme de Setchouan (The Good Person of Szechwan) by Brecht, directed by Stuart Seide. In 2014, I put on L’heure du ZugZwang ce n’est ni fait ni à faire at the Prato in Lille – a clown duo with Thomas Le Gloannec, which was directed by my brother Romans Suarez-Pazos. In 2015, together again with Thomas le Gloannec, we produced a play inspired by Daniil Harms’ Temps-Espace-Existence and performed it in an apartment. This year, I’m playing in le Chemin des passes dangereuses (Down Dangerous Passes Road) by Michel-Marc Bouchard, directed by Yann Lesvenan.
All the plays produced by the company are born from our desires as actors. Every time, Thomas and I request a director and an artistic and technical team to help us.
After playing in numerous amateur plays, I entered Maguy Marin’s training course at the CCN in Rilleux-La-Pape. Then I entered the CDC in Toulouse. I then worked with Antipodes, Lisie Philip’s theatre company in Nice, then with Random, Zineb Benzekri and David Picard’s collective of artists in Lectoure. Later on, I worked with La Rumeur, Patrice Bigel’s company in Choisy le Roi and Humanum, David Mazon’s company in Toulouse. Since January 2015, I’ve been playing in May B by Maguy Marin. In 2016, I played in Diane Touzin’s first show in Paris. Today besides dance, theatre and clown comedy, I produce performances with Omaya Salma, a plastic artist with whom I’m taking up video.
