What is your career path ?
I am Canadian, I was born in Quebec. I left Quebec when I was 19. I quit studying art history and moved to France and entered the Classe Libre at Cours Florent. After failing repeatedly the entrance examination for the Conservatoire of Paris, I started to direct video installations while working as a cameraman-editor for TV documentaries. In 2011, I created my own YouTube channel called Solange te parle. Today it amounts to 320 000 followers and 40 millions views. From this moment I was able to develop the character of Solange on the radio with Radio France. I also published three books . The two first were published by Payot in 2016 and 2017, the third one – Autoportrait en chienne was published by l’Iconoclaste in 2018.
I directed my first film Solange et les vivants in 2016. Since then I’ve been acting on stage. This year I will graduate at the Fresnoy studio national des arts contemporains in Tourcoing where I’ve been living and studying for the past two years. Le Fresnoy is co-producing my show together with the phénix and the Amicale de production.
